Texas privacy rights
Texas residents may have the right to know whether we process their personal data, access their personal data, correct inaccuracies, delete personal data provided by or obtained about them, obtain a portable copy of personal data, opt out of certain processing, and appeal a denied request.
To submit a privacy request, email gonzalo.aguilar.venegas@gmail.com. If you have an account, you may also use the account deletion tools available in the app. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. Authorized agents, parents, legal guardians, and caregivers may be asked to provide proof of authority.
We aim to respond to verified requests within 45 days when required by applicable law. If more time is reasonably necessary, we will explain the extension. We will not discriminate against a person for exercising privacy rights.
If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the denial email with the word "Appeal" and the reason you believe the decision should be reconsidered. If the appeal is denied, Texas residents may contact the Texas Attorney General.
Children, families, and trusted ride visibility
Caring Journey Transport is not directed to children for independent use. A parent or legal guardian must create, authorize, or manage transportation for a child under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without parental or legal guardian involvement and consent where required.
A rider, parent, legal guardian, or account administrator may invite a trusted person to monitor a loved one's trip in real time, receive ride updates, or coordinate pickup and drop-off details. That trusted person should use the information only to support the rider's transportation and safety.
Security, retention, and data quality
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data. No online system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and users should keep credentials private, use strong passwords, and report suspected misuse promptly.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide transportation services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, process payments and refunds, meet insurance, accounting, tax, legal, safety, and regulatory obligations, and protect the platform. When information is no longer needed, we delete, deidentify, or limit it where appropriate.
Users should keep account, trip, accessibility, payment, and trusted contact information accurate and current so transportation can be coordinated safely.
